Searched for words on page not highlighted in cache

Using allinanchor, then viewing cache, words are not being highlighted

As in most things, the more i learn, the more i realise how much i do not understand!

If i use the 'allinanchor' search in google then view the cached page, words that i am using in the search and appear on the page are not being highlighted.

I have a page that has kw1 kw2 kw3 in links to it, all three words also appear, in that sequence, on the page.

Now, if i use
allinanchor:kw1 kw2 kw3

My page appears first in results, click on the cache of that page and i get something like

These search terms have been highlighted: kw2 kw3
These terms only appear in links pointing to this page: allinanchor kw1

However kw1 does appear, a number of times, on the page. Why does it not seem to recognise it?

If i do a straight search for kw1 kw2 kw3, the same page appears somewhere about 25 in the normal SERPS, then view the cached page, all three keywords are highlighted 'correctly' as in

These search terms have been highlighted: kw1 kw2 kw3

That seems strange. Presumably the cached version of the page you're looking at does include kw1?

Yes, indeed, the cache page has kw1 on, just not highlighted.

In fact i have a date / time appearing on the page, and that is the same for both the 'allinanchor' cache page and the normal SERPS cache page.

It is the same page, just the 'allinanchor' search does not highlight the kw1 appearance.
