Hello - recently I've been noticing that pages I find using Google show as a Grey PageRank on the Google Toolbar - as if they aren't in Google but obviously are as that's how I found them! Displaying the cached page shows all the current page content.

I've noticed this lately with numerous sites. Quite often the page isn't written in plain HTML - perhaps this is confusing things?

I know the Toolbar isn't completely reliable. I take it using site:www.example.com is reliable?

NB. It may look like I just joined but I've created a new nickname as the last one was part of my URL which I notice isn't allowed in the TOS.

I got several sites that got the grey bar now on the index and some other pages whereas others within the same web rank 4 or 3.

Traffic has not changed (actually went up a bit) so I am postponing the panic party.

Well Badger37

if you ask me i would say greay toolbar is nothing but a myth. Try this. Try refreshing the site or check backwords links from the tool bar and return to the page using back button. Hopefully you'll see a green bar.

webnewton - I tried your ideas but still got a grey bar. The page is PHP with some parms attached. Displaying the page cache shows all the current content?
