I am a newbe in this field. My new site (up about 3 weeks) was word optimised as far as I could with current knowledge, without any spamdexing tricks and with a site map referenced from each page. Xenu gave a clean bill of health and made 100+ hits when checking site. Reciprocal links from 3 highly rated sites were in place but when Googlebot arrived (in week 2) it made only 16 hits. My Google profile is moderately high on my name only and none of the other words/phrases are anywhere to be seen.
