Different Interface Language: Different Results?

It seems that when you change your interface language you also change your results: pages written in your chosen interface language are favoured.

For one of my keywords I perform reasonably well with one Danish and two English pages. When I use Danish interface language the Danish page is much better than the two English ones. And when I use English interface language my English pages are superior.

Is this a well known phenomenon?

This phenomenon is a rather useful tool for webmasters. You may get a better understanding of the strength of a page for a particular keyword by using the "wrong" interface language.
