PRPR stable, yet natural Google traffic cut in half after Adwords reject

Well, my site has always had a pop-up upon a new user's page view. My site has had a PR of 5 for months and still does.

Meanwhile, within hours of having an Adwords ad rejected due to pops (which is fine with me), my natural Google traffic cut in half (wich is not fine with me).

Am I being silly to link the two events... or has anyone else heard of such thing?
