static vs. dynamic links

if robots won't crawl, is sitemap your only choice?

Sorry if this has been visited. I am updating a 3yr old site, and am troubled by dynamic links that aren't being crawled. The pages have never appeared in Google cache. They are product pages (with unique keywords that my stats anaylzer show me are being searched on) that are 3 directories deep in a cgi-bin dir. The query string has only 3 parameters.

I know I could setup a sitemap with static links to the product pages, and use my internal backlinks to boost PR, etc. But at some point I still need to assign a unique visitor id, and that means a dynamic link.

I've been fortunate to maintain a consistent top 5 ranking in the SERPs during the last 3 yrs on the homepage alone. However, many of the product pages could bring me more traffic if I could get them crawled.

Am I missing something obvious? Any ideas for a newbie to SE positioning?
