Getting different numbers when benchmarking

Benchmarking pages indexed...

When I type into google:

"site:www.mysite.com" - it brings back a number of pages indexed

when I type "site:www.mysite.com inurl:www.mysite.com" - it brings back a different (and larger) number. There is a few thousand page discrepency.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks...

hmmm. When I do it for my site, I get the same number but in a different order. I'd be curious to know as well.
