link: shows results but site: shows no resuts

Last month I launched a website which got indexed in 3-4 days and recently also got a PR of 5. The link: command shows the sites linking to my website.

For the past 5 days there has been no googlebot on the site and also the site has disappeard from the index and site: does not gives any results. The link: is still giving results.

Has the site been banned or is it a temporary problem.

Can somebody explain...

Thanks for the link. But it actually does not answers my query. All the pages are with either page rank 5 or 4. And the link: command shows back links also.

site:mydomain.com does not shows any results neither the URL's nor the snippets.

Googlebot is not visiting the site for past 8 days.

I have already edited a few pages and uploaded again but no help.

Added new back links but no help.

The content on the site is also unique.

Site was showing up high in the serps when indexed.

Can you guys help...
