PR Distribution on "unavailable" websites...

Will google pick up sub-pages even if the site is down?

I woke up this morning to my pet project jumping from a PR2 to a PR6 and after checking up on e-mail and doing some responses I went to click a link to see how well the PR was distributed, I couldn't get to the server at all. Later I find out that the DNS is down and won't be back up for a few days. What are the chances the PR was spread before the DNS died? Is it possible the site will receive a penalty because of the lack of availability?

Thanks for the input!

From what I have seen, the PR calculation is a running process... they don't have a "deadline" where they take a snapshot. So the PR you get is actually an averaged PR over the last 3-4 weeks... so some days down should not dramatically spoil the results...

Just got back online, and PR was distributed nicely over the whole site. Unfortunately, my search engine rankings took a terrible terrible hit. 5th to nowhere to be found. The DNS is still funky though so hopefully within the next few days everything will return to normal.
