I am doing a major overhaul of my 80,000 page site and removing about 5,000 pages that may appear duplicate-like in nature to Google. Is there a proper way to dump pages besides just removing them plus all inbound links to them? How do you pros clean house? Can you get a penality for dropping so much content?
