Google Directory Search Updating, Or Broken?

Very Few Results For Search, And Changing

Starting Yesterday, I was attemting to use the G Directory For Some Research, And was unable to find my site by searching for it in the G directory.

Until yesterday, my site would be found in one of the two catagories (one new), that it is listed in. I am getting VERY few SERPs in directory searches.

I know the G Directory updates in stages, but I do not know what/when the last update was, or which step updates next, but it appears to me to be in process of updating the search function.

Anyone else?

I haven't looked at all lately; is it in Google Directory that you've seen category changes where your sites appeared or just at DMOZ?

Hey Marcia,

I am talking about the G directory, not the DMOZ. G's Directory Search is missing entire catagories. Both The regional & Shopping catagories are not reflected in searches I do. Not just for my site, but using general search terms that before would show many sites in these specific cats.

A Few days ago, the catagories were included in the directory searches I am doing today. I have not seen any change this afternoon, still is way short on results.

I realised that too some day ago. I had to go to dmoz and use the search functionality of dmoz to find sites (that are in the directory for a long time).

There seems to be a problem.

What I have noticed of late regarding both DMOZ and Google's directory is pages in them not being reflected as backwards links.

In investigating this, I searched for the site name in the Google directory, but the site name wasn't found(although if I go down through the hirearchy structure, the site is listed on the Google directory page). If I search in DMOZ the page is found.

This site has been listed in both DMOZ and Goggle's directory for years. Both the DMOZ page and the Google page have a page rank of 4, but neither shows up as a backlink to the site.
