WOW 20,000 messages in this subboard in a couple of years with 15 thousand in the last year alone! That makes this about the fastest growing subboard anywhere on the net. It is -- without a doubt -- the most read Google forum any where.

Thank you to the members, moderators, and Google techs who've helped make this such a valuable community resource.

And big thanks to Google for such a great search engine worthy of indepth discussion.

Jepp, very nice.
I think it's in order for Google to give Brett a present, maybe a visit at Googleplex?

Nice job, Brett & moderators! Even after deducting the "Google updated!" and the "no it didn't" posts, an impressive total! Gotta be the post-velocity leader (measured in posts/day)...

15,000 posts in one year? That's 41 posts a day, 57.5 if you don't count weekends! Nice traffic.

What percentage of those are false-alarm "Google updated!" threads?

:)

Congrets Brett, Mods and members, fortunately "no google update" still accounts for less than 1% of posts, most of the other 19.705 posts is pure quality!

WMW/google is for free SEO tips what google is for free search and indexing ;)

I guess that a lot of us can identify with Ahmed; "My daily-visited bookmark".

Well done Brett for fostering this amazing community, NFFC & WebGuerilla for keeping this chaos in order, and everyone else for fuelling this amazing place.

I look forward to the next 20,000 posts.

Thanks everyone.

>pulling some bandwidth on this forum

It's why that little donate button became more prominent. We do more bandwidth from this sub board now, than the entire site did a year ago. 3 digits of gigabytes are not too far off. We are good to go, but the next level is a bit more expensive. If growth holds, we'll probably need multiple boxes and a load sharing setup before the end of year - making those preps now. Again, thanks to westhost [westhost.com] for taking such good care of us.

May the snowball continue :)

This is definetely the hub for the webmaster community. A wealth of expertise, interesting questions and direct answers are what people come to look for, and it seems they use google and webmasterworld if they want to be a "true" webmaster ;)
