My site was PR 5 for more than one year now, in the past few months, google is showing 90 back links. Around two days ago, it is showing only 63 links, as a result the PR now dropped to 4, although the ranking for most of the keywords are not influenced. Can any body give a comments?

Also I have two PR 5 page linked to some internal pages of my site for more than 4 weeks, but the link text is the URL address, just like:

[example.com...]

Neither Google or Yahoo is counting these two links, are there any reason?

Yes, this figures was all June's results. I was originally expect the PR to go up because two back links to my internal pages from two PR 5 pages of a well-respected site (Home page PR = 8)

what was you number of backlinks on june 5 , this time PR decreased(the normal trend) because many of the sites were filtered out and overall there was a bear market for PR.

Around two days ago, it is showing only 63 links, as a result the PR now dropped to 4, although the ranking for most of the keywords are not influenced.

The number of backlinks that Google displays for a site seems to go up and down (sometimes dramatically) without affecting the site's ranking in the SERPS. I'm sure others can attest to this.

After the last backlink/PR update, it appears to me that the PR has dropped across the board.

So, I don't think your drop in PR is necessarily related to the fact that google is showing fewer backlinks for your site.

It could be the other way around. I.e., if PR has dropped across the board, then some backlinks that were previously PR4 could have dropped to PR3. PR3 backlinks usually don't show with the "link:" command.

On June 5, the back link should be 90, then it suddenly reduced to 63 after two days.

I also noticed even www.yahoo.com have PR 9 now.

After the last backlink/PR update, it appears to me that the PR has dropped across the board.

I did found a few big website have PR dropped, including www.yahoo.com, but what is the reason? It seems that it is not simply because PR 3 backlink were not counted, because before June'04, PR 3 backlink was not counted by Google either.
