How to redirect search engine robots to another site?

My page has a ton of javascript on it, mostly document.writes as i dont have the ability to use things like php include on my sites

obviously, this is bad for search engines, as they see 'script language=javascript src=news.js' instead of the actual content.

so, how can i tell if its a search engine at my site, and if it is, redirect them to a page without javascript?

why don't you just move to a decent host where you can use php, or SSI instead. there are plenty of reasonably priced hosting providers who will provide you with a good service for a modest amount of money.

cloaking is something you probably don't want to do.

Moving to another site would also be much appreciated by a colleague of mine, who works for a company that disables Javascript in all their browsers in the belief that this tightens the security of their Intranet.

Sure, you can laugh at the company, but he tells me that those webmasters who lock out non-scripting browsers and don't offer <NOSCRIPT> pages really infuriate him!
