Site dropped from Google?

But seemly no penalties. Have Google changed their Algo?

A few of my sites disappeared in Google a week and a half ago. - Still not returned. When searching on the URL it appears with no title or description.
Google responded to me saying that the pages are partially indexed!
Another site had the index page indexed, and all the sub-pages partially indexed.
This site has now just disappeared for it's main terms this morning! No reason what-so-ever that I can see.

Is there something up with Googles robot? Why is a page that gets crawled each month happily now not crawled to even pick the title and description up?

Anyone else had this happen?

Your topic has been discusses in my threads. I think most people are tired in answering the same question. You just need to look through the forum for similar question or do a search. And then stick to the same thread.

Well thanks for making us newbies feel so welcome!

I apologise that this has been discussed 3 billion times before, but am having a real hard time searching this site for info that's relevant.

Perhaps someone could point me in the right direction? Links to follow? A name of the right forum section?

I too have searched this forum for answers to this problem. I found both of the threads mentioned, but having read both I don't see a definitive answer.

I have over 13,000 pages indexed and as of this week 80% are showing no title and no description. There have been no major changes to the site and the PR has remained the same.

The only logical explanation I've read is that Google has cut back drastically on robot activity and Google simply doesn't consider these pages current. This seems to be born out by Goolge only visiting a few pages each night vs. several hundred at a time in the past. Has enyone else experienced this?

Without starting another long discussion or bringing the wrath of those who obviously read every post, do we have anything to be concerned about or is this just a result of reduced activity across the board by Googlebot?

I agree ... as a non-newbie I'm also frequently frustrated by WebmasterWorld's search. It COULD use some work if anyone is paying attention :)

Welcome to the board, premier_teague.

It's much easier to use Google search to find discussions. I do it all the time and find that refining the search helps to hone in on the specifics and find them very easily.

no title no description
[google.com...]

url only google
[google.com...]

partial indexing google
[google.com...]

All done with site:webmasterworld.com inhcluded in the search along with the search words. There ya go!

There is no definitive answer. ;)

I sometimes use site:webmasterworld.com and search with Google.

I usually end up doing this too, but I'm not sure how often Google spiders this site so I might not be getting all of the up to date topics. Just saying it would be nice if I didn't have to do it that way :)
