Something isn't right

If you do a search at Google (I'm in the US) and refresh the browser, you will get different results. Some of the listings orginally there get dropped. The initial results are also a bit weird... the top results get grouped together as if they are the same domain, but they are not. Sometimes as many as 5 results are grouped like this. (I have me results showing 20 per page, so this may have an effect.)

Google has many Data Centres and load balancers route your search request to different centres at different times.
Different centres have different indexes at any moment in time, and especially when large updates are taking place.

If you play the game often enough you can get really paranoid when your own site does better at some centres than others and you don't know why...

I don't believe this is because of different datacenters. Results from different web sites should not be grouped together. This is happening with almost every search I do and when I refresh, the results always change. There is something more to it than just datacenters. Am I the only one seeing this?

Do they happen to be Yahoo stores by any chance? Sometimes those have ended up being grouped when they shouldn't be.

No, it is not a Yahoo store.

OK... it's still happening after five days... some of the time. Here is an example. Search for "soup". Look at the results. Refresh and several orginal listings disappear... in this case they are not being grouped as a single domain. Search again. They are back. Refresh and they disappear. This is happening for many real searches that I have performed. There is definitely appears to be something wrong!
