Is Google's post florida spam filter still doing the same job?

Hi Guys,

I'm seeing different (better) results when using the
-blahblahblah suffix on my search terms. I know this was discovered to give the non-spam filtered results post-florida, but thought it was stopped some time after.

I now see different results when I append it to my search phrases and I'm wondering if anyone out there know's if it's still doing the same job or if indeed it's being used to switch of another filter of some type?
