Google seems to like my new vBulletin forum software... I converted my forums from Ikonboard to vBulletin on June 1 and the change in Google spider bandwidth consumption has jumped markedly. I assume the reason for this is because Google is now more willing to travel the entire forums (~2,000 threads) instead of ignoring them altogether due to Ikonboard's session ids and more complex URLs.
Last month (May, 2004) Google consumed just under 20MB of bandwidth and was the highest month I've ever had for the site in question. This month they're already up to 110MB+ and counting and we're only in the first week of the month.
I'm assuming this is a good thing, corect? :)
