Hi,

our affiliate links have the structure (concealed as internal links)

[domain.de...] Merchant = xyz & & destination position = marketplace & shop_id = 36 & offer_cat_id = 634 & prod_master_id = 36321 & prod_id_shop = 490535?http % = 3 A % 2 F % 2 Fxyz.com % 2 Fclick % 3 Fp % 3D 8166% 26 are % 3D 184777% 26 URL % 3D http % 3 A % 2 F % 2 Fwww.xyz.de % 2 Fservlets % 2 FTKRelEnter % 2 FROL_PARTNER_ID % 2 FARIGHT % 2 Fservlets % 2 FRMJump % 2 F % 3 FPROD % 3D 490535

We have the entry in the robots.txt

Disallow: /tracking.php

Is this so ok or are there better methods?

Many thanks first of all for your help!

The problem is the way Googlebot is ordered to collect data. Googleguy said in this forum that if their is a link to a page then it will be indexed. BUT - if the linked to page is disallowed by the robots.txt file it will only show up in Google Search Results as the URL (i.e. no title or description). He suggested placing <NOINDEX> tags in the page coding.

Therefore, your affiliate links may show up in the results but they will not affect you ranking and they (should) not throw out any duplication problems. Hopefully Googlebot will just be too confused with the number of parameters in the link to be bothered following it!

Hello,

I donīt have the problem that Google is indexing this links. The links are not in Google.

Is ask only, if it is the best method to hide affiliate links .
