Yes things seem a bit static to me. Others may have better information but the last PR update I have was on 4/26. I saw a minor change in back links on 5/18.
I do see the top search ranking positions changing in my keyword industry just about every other day however....search results seem up to date. My .02 cents.

I know my PR has increased a lot in the last month however I would like to know how much. So that I can optimize my internal linking structure.
If you are talking the green toolbar PR it was last updated on 3/30 for my site. All pages added on or before 3/30 have the green pr indicator. All pages added (I add 1 - 3 pages per day) do not have it.
If you are talking PR actually used in SERPs I believe it is there (or an estimated value) as of 5/25. All pages on my site, added before 5/25 show up in the serps with reasonable search terms. Example: rate #53 out of 10,200, so if the is no PR (or estimate) they should not show at all (or PR means absolutely nothing).
For SERP reasons, I believe PR (or estimated value) is done whenever the bot finds the page. My main 'directory' pages that link to all my added pages are picked up ever 3 - 4 days, so new links are notice then and the new page is crawled and added to the SERPs with some PR value associated with it.

What's happening with new sites though is that they're not ranking for search terms a few months even when they're showing PR. Unless you're seeing something different with yours.
Reason : Google has a long history of doing this on holiday weekends - probably because it likes to ruin them for all webmasters involved.
WHEN will the update happen?, please give me a call when it happens, I am going for a sleep till then.

My website dropped to a PR 5 three months ago, which is one of the reasons we added the 50 pages. My hope is that the website will be back to a PR 6 when the update happens. I can’t say I’ve seen any jumps from any updates since our PR dropped a few months ago, so I hope your right about this weekend being the one!

I think most people agree that the actual PR updates at a different time than when the PR updates on the toolbar. The change in PR on the toolbar just shows us what has already happened some time previously.
Some people think that the PR for a page is updated when google finds a new link to it, I don't think anyone knows for sure.
So, I think you'd see a change in your rankings when the actual PR is updated, not when the toolbar updates.

Gundamknight, you saw an increase this week when using the link: command? And when was the increase in links - rather, how long before you saw the increase was it a lower number?

...but I have new pages showing up in the SERPS, even though they are PR0 and no backlinks, often above pages with higher PR. How can that be?!?
Possible theories:
1. On-page content is spot-on for key words.
2. Google assigns a temporary PR to new pages, based on site's PR.
3. Google is updating PR and backlinks continuously, but we don't see it publicly.
Thoughts?
This is fairly nomal behaviour for google, new sites can get indexed pretty quick sometimes and then disappear again down the serps or vanish completely.
Normally 2 months down the line the site will become stable as more links to it are found from the crawl.

How long do you expect it will take before PR appears on these pages? Lots of them have outgoing links to external websites.
Do Google take a while to assign PR to completely new webpages?
