Google spidering

trying to understand it

I have a site with about 4,700 pages. When I do site:www.mysite.com at google it only shows 500 pages of about 4,000. Does that mean 500 pages are already spidered or 4,000? If only 500 what does "of about 4,000 mean?" Does that mean the rest of the pages are in the queue for spidering?

Also, on my site, when I use google toolbar to see if the page is cached or not, it shows a cached page all the time. So does that mean all my pages are already cached even though goolge is displaying 500 pages when I do site:www.mysite.com?

Thanks.

u should try site:mysite.com

SE regard www.mysite.com as a "site", just like
xyz.mysite.com. wot u mean is to get all pages
under the domain "mysite.com".

U can try site:www.google.com and site:google.com
to see the difference.

good luck.
