Google marketing for CJ?

Sponsored links looking suspect ....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as an affiliate who uses CJ I was under the impression that clicks had to come from your own site and that if they didn't you wouldn't get your commission. Is that right?

If so, Google is currently showing links directly to CJ Advertisers using the qksrv link:

[google.co.uk...] <and so on>

as the linking URL from sponsored listings. Therefore Google would have to be the affiliate for that link to end up with a commission payment.

[edit reason] Link with code included not necessary. [/edit]

Let me correct you: actually many CJ merchants explicitly allow direct links to their sites without using a middle-man-site. And google also allows this for their adwords as long as such ads are clearly identified as affiliates.
[adwords.google.com...]

Nonsense. It's the CJ affiliate who gets the commission.

Google is NOT a CJ affiliate.

although Looksmart were famous for this kinda thing, in fact they were the best affiliates a merchant could have ;)

Except that the merchant would in many cases be paying massive commissions on sales they would have gotten anyway. :)
