As I have noticed with the last google updates...without having the keyword in the URL, you always (99%) will loose against a similar competitor (same PR, Linkpop, keywords in title...) on the top 5
Google search results.
Can anybody confirm this or are there many (!)exceptions?

I can't really offer concrete evidence against your suggestion, but I can say that for those sites of mine that don't have a keyword in their top level domain, I can still rank top for for my search terms onto a page that doesn't have keywords in its URL anywhere.
And I can also say that on those sites of mine where the keyword IS in the top level domain, I don't rank first...
Whether that will cause you to revise your 99% estimate remains to be seen, but I think the collected opinion is that a keyword in the URL helps, all other things being equal. However, it helps so little it's easier to make the other things unequal (in your favour of course!) first...
