Can google crawl URL with % in it

Will a % in a URL cause problems with a crawler?

I couldn't find anything on this question though the search, so someone might direct me to the appropriate thread.

I have URL that looks like www.xyz.com/foo%widget/stuff.htm

Will the % cause any problems with crawlers?

Does it really look like foo%widget, or is it like foo%2Ewidget?

The % isn't really proper unless it's followed by a hex byte. If it is, then it's fine.
