I am well listed already in Google, but recently bought a domain name from another well listed site.
I want to make sure that my site inherits the PR of the new domain.
1. If I just point the new domain to my home page, would I inherit the PR of the new domain?
2. At present it points to a page which says "Ive just acquired this domain" and then redirects to my Home page. I'd prefer to keep that message, at least for a while. Is there a way of doing that and inheriting the PR?
3. Should I LINK to the new domain somewhere on my site?
from what ive heard, google checks re-registered domains, and kills PR. this is only what ive heard, not quite sure tho
Google has been removing the PR for EXPIRED domains, not resold domains.
If you bought the domain from someone, and it has never 'expired' then you should maintain the PR as long as the incoming links don't get removed.
