That'd be cool. I doubt google will sell it but maybe someone will sticky you (and me!) with a bootlegged version. Most likely people only keep SERPs they are interested in as a large set is hard to get.

You might find quite a few appended to the bottom some unethical 'chaff' pages for your keyphrase of interest

Google people must have some tool for that. They keep old databses and it's just a seach in the old database using the old algo. isn't it.

How far do you want to go back?

To see something very close to Google SERPs for late 2002 you just need to perform the search at Yahoo!;)

A tool doesn't exist, if Google keep the data, you can be certain they aren't going to share it right now, it would be too embarrassing!

no not trying to bet google.

i have a geographical term (a state in spain) and my client is the official tourist board for this region.

the single most important searc h term is this regions name.

so i wont to track the top 20 positions on a daily basis. to give me perspective on the movers upppers and downers. Then try to work out why they have moved.

There are tools available for you to do this.

**** have a tool on their site that uses the Google API to perform the query.

I don't know whether you are attually allowed to use it, but it is a really good tool none the less.
