For a month or two google loves me...I shine on its pages. Then, poof, I am gone for no reason. We never had any sour words or the like. Why oh why is google such a fickle lover? Any advice to keep her affections?

If your site is new then it is common for G to give you an initial burst, but if it is an old site then you may have some issues.

give her meta-roses and keyword fragrance, then read up on how to be a better lover;-)
This site is good for that as I am learning for a second time

Hah that heart is cute. You may find that with googles new policy of changing algorithms regularly, that results fluctuate over time. the key word is Persistence.

Don't use words like "poof"! She may get the wrong idea about your orientation :)

Blame it on times. No fidelity these days. No one SITS N STAYS for you these day like in the Shaksperian days.

Only god can help you if you've choosen Google to be your juliet.
