Hello all.

Just wondering, I am setting up a storefront that is all PHP and I was wondering will that have a negative effect on getting a decent rank? Or as long as I still have good content and good links will I be OK?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

PHP is perfectly fine as long as you do not use session variables in URL links. Session variables make every visit to a page unique. Google probably ignores those pages. I read somewhere on WW recommendation to use cookies instead.

For the rest, even with parameters, PHP ranks great.

Even with sessioids in the urls there are ways to remove the sessionids from the urls without losing the functionality.

You might find some really good posts on this in WebmasterWorld.
