Confused about My Google listing

I'm confused about my listing description in Google. When I type in my site title, it pulls up a listing with a nice description and a recent cache date, however, when I search for my position in Google under one of my keywords, it show a completely different description and a very old cache. Why is this happening?

different DCs are most probably the solution to your question. Try 1 specific DC and you should normally see the same cache.

The description changes depending on your search query. If you look for [widgets] and you have the word "widgets" several times on your page G might display some occurencies as description. If you look for [My widget site has a title] which doesn't appear in the body, you most probably get the standard description.
