dear sir/madame,

i have been into this forum for a time and i am reading archives, but im reading old threads regarding my problem and it seems the answers would not fit to my situation.

presently i come to a point thinking what is the best thing to do with my website(s)[40 websites]. the sitution is i have around 20 major kw and some 50 minor kw, when i search them in Yahoo, Altavista and Alltheweb it shows that im in good position owning the first and second pages. while i search GOOGLE i am no where in the search result. (maybe i have a few only 2-3 sites appearing, but not in good rankings)

but few months ago all my websites have good rankings in GOOGLE and no where in Yahoo!

now is different! Yahoo(GOOD RANKINGS) and GOOGLE(BAD BAD RANKINGS)

i am open to suggestions!

thank you

note: i made offsite and onsite optimization change website layout(site make over), change title tags, applied H1 H2 H3, writting good contents, kw density, change filenames and putting kw in first sentence and end paragraph. what else do i need to do? (im no where in google) or do i need to wait? thanks

You are going to have wait this one out, just build links and create more content.

Yahoo likes to have that keyword pounded into it more than Google. If you're doing well in Yahoo but not in Google, that may be one area to peek into.

Another area may be in the quality of your links, and the anchor text you're using. As Yahoo relies somewhat more on keyword on the page than Google, so Google relies more on link data than Yahoo.

Seems like more and more I'm seeing formerly effective websites getting shot down by Google. Outside of keyword-link spam and redirect farms, what Yahoo likes and Google prefers can at times be at odds.

Good luck fixing it up.

Are you cross-linking at all or have similar content? You mentioned that you "own" the first one or two pages in Yahoo. Usually, to do that, you have to have very similar content with lots and lots of cross-linking between the sites (you said you had 40 of them). Not saying you are doing this, but if you are, this might explain why you are nowhere to be found in Google - they are far better at picking that kind of thing up than is Yahoo right now.

40 websites

Depending on how they are hosted and linked, 40 websites could be hurting you.

Content writers and a "circle-linking-structure" can do it as well. :)

hi again everybody!

@martinibuster "...Google relies more on link data"

what does this mean "link data"?

@jimh009 "...cross-linking at all or have similar content?"

yes i did heavy crosslinking to all the website and i have simillar contents for one main reason that im selling one genre of product" does google dislikes this?

@Robert Charlton "Depending on how they are hosted and linked"

i hosted all my websites in dedicated server (datacenter with 1 IP) and i cross-linked everywebsite in everypage. would this harm my rankings? (so far im doing GOOD in YAHOO) i just want to be visible also in GOOGLE.

@ThomasB "Content writers and a "circle-linking-structure" can do it as well."

what do you mean, mind to explain and tell me more?

thanks you.

Steven - Not meaning to be impolite, but are you shining us on here? It seems to me that you're laying out the worst possible case scenario with too much detail to be completely naive about what's going on.
