The site had been deep crawled on Saturday PST time, but Google index still shows old files (except www.mysite/index.html). How long does it usually take these days for new updates to show up on Google?

Anyone's guess is good at this point in time. It seems to be taking a while in some cases.

There are a lot of strange things going on right now with Google indexing. I am also being affected but a "wait and see" strategy is my only option. I think eventually (hopefully a few days) google will bring things "back online."
