Google Can't Separate Keywords In URL

e.g. can't get 'example' 'widgets' from www.examplewidgets.com

Search on Google for

allinurl:widgets site:examplewidgets.com
or
allinurl:example site:examplewidgets.com

shows no results for me. This means that the highlighting of keywords in URL's on search results pages is for show only. Anyone else confirm/unconfirm this?

I think it does parse. Check out this article [news.com.com] about Google's safe search feature's collateral damage to innocent websites.

A website called widgetsexpress.com will have the letters s-e-x parsed as you know what, and be filtered out of the serps.

This filter is seperate from the SERPs i believe.
The article is still very interesting.
I think google did the right thing though. Image the outcry if too many adult sites slipped through.

allinurl:theexample site:theexample.com
and
allinurl:example site:theexample.com

the first brings up results, the second doesn't

The question is whether Google can parse keywords in the URL. The answer is yes.

It is my belief that Google should not be filtering at all. A better idea could be to direct people who click the safe-search to or even help them in downloading and using third party software of their liking to do this job.
