how do you structure your anchor text now?

If you have a site you want to rank for a kw and you establish link trades for this site... do you name all your trade links with the anchor text that matches your kw you are targetting or do you do some like that and some with other keywords added on to your primary one?

What are you all doing these days?

It should have some variation. If it is always the same it could trigger warning-signals or worse. If the keyword are in the domain then there should not be a problem.

I would never build a site on a single keyword. With that in mind, every site I build or SEO has many variations of keywords.

The way I do it is write out 20 to 50 custom incoming links to distrubute to those that would link to my sites. (A few of these at a time can be displayed dynamically on a site to potential link partners so as not to confuse them with the full spread of possible links.) I never use the domain name itself as anchor text, and try to use 3 to 10 words of anchor text and another 20 words of descriptive, associated text.
