Hi all,

I use many site to find the backlinks of many sites, and I am sure I myself(sometimes) go more than 1000 queries per day(using their sites).

(1)What are they using to find the backlinks?
(2)Are they going for Google Apis?
(3)What if I donot go for Google APIs, just retrieve the normal page, like Google google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Aji and then go for getting the backlinks using some php, will that be considered a sin in the sight of Big G.

But I wonder so many sites use it for commerical, do they go for aggreement with Big G.

Regards
Aji

I highly doubt that google allows anyone to see more backlinks than the public. Seems more likely to me that they either do their own spidering or get them from other engines that don't filter them.

You can get it with number 3, I do. I made my php script for it and it's works great. Google gets so many searches a day, I don't think they would even look at it if it isn't used more 1 2 3 4000 times a week.

But there are many legal issues involved in it, like banning the IP e.t.c, I guess if anyone do simple search (3) then there is a chance that google track the ip and penalize it.
