I was hoping maybe someone can give me advice on how well constructed my company web site is and how well you'd expect it to do on Google.
Here's a bit of background.
We've only been launched 3 days and I know it's WAY too soon to expect any results of significance, but there have been some seemingly strange happenings.
Firstly we've been noticing a large number of Googlebot's, I believe the fresh content ones, visiting our site. At one point we had 17 active googlebots. Im not sure if this is normal or not, seemed strange to me. Can anyone clarify?
Secondly, we've now appeared in the index but not under any useful keywords. Basically we only show if we use the site: option and our domain name. We have a PageRank of 0. Im hoping this will increase.
Our site is travel related (competitive I know) with a strong emphasis on accessibility. The entire site is CSS based and validates to XHTML 1.0 Strict, which I was told assists Google in indexing the content.
Im hoping we will see some results but my confidence has been severely dented by the recent actvity.
I'd really appreciate someone taking a look at what we've got and giving recommendations. We're on a low budget so I cant afford thousands for an SEO, but I am prepared to pay a few hundred pounds to someone if they can help us.
