Hmm thought this was big news, but ok. The article is very interesting about the future of Google and there privacy problems and battle with Microsoft.

It is interesting, although this has been tried before without success.

With the cost of the modern PC at such a ridiculous low, it's hard to conceive of people using subsidised PC's funded by advertising, which is essentially the direction google would have to go.
