how deep does pr travel?

or is it uri rewriting causing problems?

Hello everyone, my PR just went up today! woohoo! anyways, curious how deep this should travel, i went from PR0 to PR4 and pages below that have 3, while pages one level deeper have 0, however the pages with PR0 also have URI rewriting, so i'm thinking maybe is that why? or just pr doesn't travel that deep? any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated,

If your URL re-writing is creating crawlable URL's then you'll be fine.

PR will be travelling down to all the pages that google has crawled to, and knows about.

PR0 is not necessarily zero, but something less than 1.

If those deeper pages showing PR0 have been crawled and are in the index, then their PR is just something less than 1.

I suspect you have a lowish PR4. You'll start to see PR showing on the deeper pages with a little time, or with a higher PR on the pages that link to those deeper pages.

I would suggest you create a sitemap, linked to from the homepage and containing links to your deeper "money pages". This will help google in finding and spidering those pages.

PR4 on a smallish site should be fine as far as getting pages indexed in google is concerned. You might want to start trying to get some inbound links to the deeper pages from off-site sources as well as keeping new inbound links coming into the homepage.

i have a few different sitemaps, also have around ahh about 1800 pages indexed with google, it seems just the pr for pages deeper than 2 levels is 0, or very small anyways

If those pages are in the main index, then it's the latter. Just very small and less than 1.

You'll probably find with a few more inbound links to the homepage, they'll start showing PR.
