How long do pages appear in Google after crawl

Google has been crawling around a lot these past few days since I put up some 70+ new pages. Also I used mod_rewrite for phpbb forums and now Google can't get enough of it.

While this is all good news, how long approximatelly does it take for them to get listed. I am using site:myurl.com in Google search but after a few days still the same old pages.

There's no fixed time that can be stated with absolute certainty, but there are a lot of posts you can find to read in the Google News Forum [webmasterworld.com] that deal with the topic specifically.

Could be as short as 24 hours. Saw that 2 days ago for a page of mine. I was thinking that bigger and more sites would be on a quicker turnaround. Just looked at the cache of /. and it is 44 hours old in the websearch.

I know that things took longer for my pages in the past. Which could have two reasons: Sites not in the express-lane yet, or google got faster overall. Probably both.

Maybe you check the caches of similar sites to yours that have some indication of the crawl date.

There is no fixed time. Factors seem to be 1) current page rank 2) external links to the new pages 3) URL format for dynamic pages.

I have had new static pages in SERPs for a site with a pr of 5 in 2 days to a week, and dynamic pages appear 1 month after a deep crawl.

Well, the index page has a PR of 5 and all the old pages (now php pages) are the same with mod_rewrite. All dynamic pages appear static as well through mod_rewrite on the site.

So I can probably expect the old pages to get updated first and then a bit down the road have the old pages come in. As far as external links go, I think they would be hard to get because they are articles and all my links usually come to the index page.
