I built a site under a certain domain name www.widgets.com which is a clone of another site of which I am an affiliate(with their permission). Reading through all of the good information here, it seems that this is not a good idea and can result in penalty.
For this site, I am not all that concerned, however, I am concerned I may be hurting the site I am an affiliate of, would they be penalized also?
Second part of question: the site in question links to another site I run which is a domain which points to a subdirectory on the main domain. This site I am worried about as it is doing quite well although it was dropped from Google mysteriously a month and a half back. Could it be that it is penalized because my other not so good site which is the main domain name links to the good one which is in a subdirectory?
If so, should I:
a. delete the domain name completely and all files
b. delete the site and put a redirect to my good site
c. not worry about it, because one thing has nothing to do with the other
d. other
