What is this telling me?

Hi
I'm sure this has been covered but I can't find it anywhere.

What does it mean when my site is on page 5 for my chosen keywords but as soon as I append -www to my keywords I come up number 2.

I've been promoting my site without the www and it was doing fine until about a month ago. Is this relevant or should I be looking elsewhere?

Thanks in advance
Chris

I don’t see what you can learn from such a search. It should just tell you how your site ranks among those that don’t use the www (which is about one fifth to one fourth of the sites). However, the order is clearly different. It’s just another example of the multiple algos that Google is using nowadays depending upon the type of query. I think that it’s a complete waste of time to try to figure it out.
