I have a well established site in Google - almost 2000 pages some 4 years old. PR 6 - PR 4 on all pages. My entire site including the index page has disappeared overnight. I do not use data feed, the site pages are not duplicates. HELP, HELP please help.

Ha welcome to the club.

you and thousands of others have lost their position on Google recently and no ones sure how to get back up.

Was your site ecom or info based, just out of interest?

About 50 / 50 Content, Ecom

Totally disappeared, not just lost but can't be found at all.

Googlebot spidered lots last night - last bite at 10:45pm - yesterday I had fresh tags all over the site for Feb 8. I am very confused.

Abigail, do you have a lot of links/keywords on a page that could look like stuffing? For example, if a page is pretty fair but then has 200-300 keyword-stuffed links, I wouldn't be surprised if that would go over a threshold at some point. Do you have a lot of those sorts of links, or affiliate links or something similar on your site?

GG, are you saying there is something wrong with having affiliate links on one's pages? It seems you are comparing affiliate links to keyword stuffing 300 links on a page.

Also, nixing a 1000 page site for a few links pages seems a bit extreme, no?

GoogleGuy,
I have 3 to 20 links tops and very seldom that many for affiliate links. Most of my links are going to internal pages within my own website. About an hour ago I caught 4 page hits from http://www.google.com/url?sa=D&start=0&q=http://www.mysite.com/page/page.htm 216.33.229.163

what does it all mean? Help please. I don't know what I have done - I really don't.

Also back at you - I run at about 10% keyword threshhold. No hidden text. No thousands of data feed pages. I have built a site over a 4 year period, never had any issues before.
