Deep Spidering every 2 weeks now?

I used to only get a deep crawl every 6-8 weeks. Now i'm getting a deep crawl every 2 weeks if not weekly.

Is this part of the "new google" or just efforts to tweak and manage the index as part of its growth from florida -> austin -> don't let msn or yahoo catchup?

I've got 4 googlebots (different ips) hammering my site not to mention the media bot! busy little suckers they are! :)

It's certainly been getting fresh with some of the sites I look after :)

certainly is - cranking up the number of pages listed within the SERPS for sites too!

I did notice on one SERP that I look at, that the number of results jumped by nearly 2 million! :o

At least I was still right up there :)
