google lists page as www and -www , why?

url shows up twice as #1 & #2 one w/ www and one without

When my site is searched for the term pretty blue widgets, the #1 position is my main index page and is listed as bluewidgets.com. The #2 site is www.bluewidgets.com/pretty.html, why is one listed as www and the other is not?

How are they each linked to, with or without the www or both ways?

if they are static pages .. google will merge them as one with time.
