PR consolidation

My company is running ~300 domains off of 2 IP addresses. Most of the sites are PR3+. Currently, many of these sites are interlinked but we have some external PR sources too. My plan is to consolidate all combined PR towards one of our sites. I'll remove most outbound links from other sites and ensure that they link to the primary site. I have a few concerns:

1. Is this a good approach?
2. Will this linking structure among so many same-IP sites pose a problem in Google's eyes?

Thanks guys.

I think you won't get any "yes or no"-answers on your questions. From what I can see it might work without a problem.
But I don't think it would/could last forever. Such networks are much to simple to spot for Google, even by an algo. If I were you, I'd go for a complicated link-structure with at least 30 IPs and 10 Class-C nets. But that's just my oppinion. It also depends how much time/money you want to invest in changing your network. But 2 IPs and linking all sites to the same domain isn't a good idea imho.
