I Don't Get It

A lot of times i come across sites that do not seem to have any significant incoming links apart from their internal pages and really can't figure out where these internal pages are getting a high PR from ...
Clueless...Would someone be kind enough to share as to what "must" be seen for a PR >5 site ...

If a site has a high PR it seems to be very good, popular and trustworthy for Google. Why should a page on this domain be worse? So G gives some credit to the page for having a link from a very good, ... site.
Also the PR is transferred internally as it is from external sources so a high PR on subpages is no un-common thing.

could yu justify this with a look at my profile ..thanks a tonne ..just don't understand ...somewhere there should be a good link coming in and i fail to see where it comes from in this case
