weird results when searching google

.com returns clean links .com.au returns weird strings

I recently did a search on google for a keyword eg. purple widgets. when I hovered over the links on google.com they were clean links like this [domain.com...]

When I searched the same keyword on google.com.au and hovered over the links I got this [google.com.au...]

This was the same for every search I did on .com.au why is it like that?

yep - common. Watch it switch around from time to time on the TLDs.
