Hey all

I submitted a site to Google and it went swell, I got indexed after a couple of weeks or so. And I aquired a high ranking, first page.

But it was to good to be true, after a month or so, when I noticed the visits were decreasing, I checked G again and my site was gone. Completely gone.

Do anyone of you have any idea why? I dont think I have done something to deserve getting banned from the SE. It seem a little unfair when there so many unscrupulous people out there.

I've resubmitted the site so Im wondering how long will it take to get indexed again if I indeed got banned, and will my ranking get affected?

It all seem very strange, I didnt make any major changes in the code since it got indexed and the amount of clicks from G was increasing.

Another question: I have a forum on my site and when I use the administrative tools I often see Googlebots on the boards. So will they index my forum automatically? Since they are smacked with keywords and phrases regarding the topic of the site/forum.

I submitted both the forum and site, they are on different servers but linked from one and the other. Will this help my main page getting indexed?

Im kinda new to this sort of thing so I dont have much knowlegde regarding.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate any help. :)

/Martin

First, welcome to WebmasterWorld.

Search this site on "Freshbot [google.com]". It is normal for a site to rank high when it first goes up, and then fade quick after 30days.

Completely gone.

"Completely gone" or not ranking was well as before? Is this only one page or are you saying no pages of your site are to be found on Google?

Completely gone probably stems from not having any links to the site. If you submitted via the form, they found you, but if you have no links, you don't stay in the index.

but if you have no links, you don't stay in the index.

Exactly, get some links coming in and you will stick around for a while longer, well at least until the next big change Google makes. :)

I had the same problem. My site was in the top 10 for most keywords then it droped out of the first 1000. After 4 days i checked the ranking again and i was back to the high places ;).

And yeah, its gone. I dont find any of the pages that was there before, back then some other pages then index was listed to, contact- and a linkpage. And I do have a links in the index file, at least one.

Get some more PR4 or higher links to see a visible change

Wait a couple of days to see if it appears again when fresh tags start showing in the SERPS

Keep adding good content to keep the bot interested

then its all about wait wait wait to see how your changes affected your listing etc.
