Hi, I need some help on listing in google search the dmoz directory url I was listed in. Recently I lost my PR when I changed my domain name but immediately I have changed my url listing in dmoz directory. I've already submitted to google the dmoz directory url a month ago(also, a month before that) using the addurl but until now it haven't been updated. Any other method to make googlebot to quickly list it?

Ya, keep your content fresh and deep on the site. Add a page a day and put that link to it on the homepage. Get as many inbound links as possible.

You cannot "quickly get Google" to do anything. You made a change, and you need to wait for google to take their good sweet time to get to you.

As bad as that seems, they will likely get to it much quicker than they used to. The advice used to be to wait 2-3 months.

If DMOZ is your only good link, you would be well served to take this time and follow Bretts advice.

I don't get Google's backlinks recently. Right now one of my sites is showing a backlink from another site on my server that doesn't actually link to it - it never has.

e.g. when you type www.example.com into Google and click 'backlinks', it is showing two pages from a site that I own, and it resides on the same server, but does not, and never has, linked to the other site. (and vice versa)

Any ideas?

When is Google going to get around to updating their dmoz directory? My PR6 site still says PR0 and I still have no directory tag on my search result.

Thanks guys for the advice, I really appreciated it. Brett_Tabke
, I've read your posting "Successful Site in 12 Months with Google Alone" it was great and it worked!

(that is, before I changed my domain, with a PR4. First I have a PR5 with the backlinks I got from Google directory. Then when my two backlinks in Yahoo appeared (both with PR4), mine went PR4 also. I never had backlinks in DMOZ.)

My question is, will google still visit my site often or regularly if I keep updating it eventhough the PR is zero? ( Before, my site was being visited every 3 days.)

also, a month before that

Resubmitting before 6-12 months will only overide your initial submission and push you to the bottom of the pack. Most of the guys and gals at DMOZ work slower than a sloth with a broken leg.

Get some links from pages already in Google, DMOZ is much overated.
