Is that counting in PR?

Hi one of my recent sites gained PR4..

Total of 3 PR sites linking to it with 2xPR3 & 1xPR4

When I've checked backlinks it just show two backlinks that PR4 external and the site itself.. PR3 links not showing as usual.

I wonder if that self backlink also affects PR? Like a 3rd party PR4 link?

Does anyone know if a domain name that's set up as 'blah.domainname.com' is treated the same as 'www.domainname.com/blah'?

The first way appears as a seperate directory within my virtual host, although it's just a structural issue with the primary domain name. I have one domain name that's getting good pop, I'd like to focus on that one name and build related pages using 'blah.domainname.com'.

NO...it's treated different. I have seen a lot of people doing Link Exchange using this technique so as to save themselves from possible penalities to their main domain ....!

Each subdomain....is a different website. Strange but true that domain.com and www.domain.com are also different.

In most cases, you will find different results forqueries like: link:www.domain.com and link:domain.com

Anyone know how to do a link:http://www.a_website.com search on Google that excludes backlinks from itself so only links from other websites shows up?

Thanks.
