I screwed up, how long will it take to fix?

I forgot to add a redirect to a .co.uk server that forwards via some flash script to .com (different ip addresses as well).

I have done a load of work but the serps have wrong cache, the .com site (which is where the files are stored) shows old cache, .co.uk shows new cache but has less pr.

If I add .htacess file to .co.uk when will the cache update on Google? Also is it best to just add robots.txt file or 301 redirect in the short term? Do I have to wait for the next update to get this fixed or will it update in a few days?

Thanks in advance!

If you get freshbot visits, some could be updated in days, but everything else will probably take atleast one fill update cycle, about a month.

Allow up to three months, however 1 month is probably about all it will take.

Some will be quicker, some others slower.

Ours took the full three months to get the index page in properly, and another month to get the rest of the site content back in and fully ranked.

During those three months google made a forture off our adwords (hmmmmm.... seems like a little bit of a conflict of interest here) because google is VERY quick to dump your original site, but takes plenty of time picking up the new.

This was for a PR5 site.

Hope that helps.
